Description of Elective Experience

Busy, small, rural general small animal practice, student will participate in all aspects of the practice, including but not limited to participating in examinations, diagnostics, surgery, imaging, client interaction.  

Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.

Digital X-rays, ultra-sounds, lab, dental equipment, anesthesia monitoring, dispensing medications.

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?

Student will be responsible for assisting with exams, administering vaccines, monitoring anesthesia, assisting with surgeries, doing blood draws, taking radiographs, assisting with dentals.
